In prophase, Chiasma are formed by crossing over two chromotides. Would X and Y chromosomes cross over at male meiosis during the production of sperms? Pls explain and references are needed Thx

Yes, but only at limited regions called pseudoautosomal regions (acts like autosomes). Most part of the Y chromosome carry genetic information solely inherited in males, these genetic information will NEVER cross over with the X chromosome during meiosis. But at pseudoautosomal regions, the genetic information contained there are shared by both male and female, therefore are possible to be crossed over.
